This second part of the 4-part series entails Dr. Dhanashri Mahajan's views on why the retail sector of all sectors has been chosen for FDI.

She has, in this webcast, shared statistical data about the present scenario & later with respect to income class, retail trader nos., GDP rate, market surveys on food sales, income to farmers, local retailers etc. 

Dr. Dhanashri Jayant Mahajan is a socio-economic expert, who has specialised in Industrial, International & Public Economics. An Asst. Professor with the Dept. of Economics in Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University in Aurangabad since 1997, Dr. Mahajan has been in the teaching & research profession for 16 years now. She has atleast 8 books to her credit on Indian & international, micro & macro Economics, some with a focus on Marathwada region, among others. She is a life member of the Indian Economic Association.
